Portal Updates: May 25

Here is a look at the Portal additions from the past 24 hours which includes a couple of really good running backs providing depth at the position for their new schools and quite a few roster fillers:
Note: Player ratings are in parentheses and are on a 20-point scale.

California: RB Star Thomas (14.7) < New Mexico State
Jadyn Ott is the starter here and he was asked to be a bellcow last year. The Bears have brought in a few backs, including now Thomas, to lighten that load and keep Ott more fresh. Expect Thomas to be the primary second option here. A good get.

TCU: RB Dominique Johnson (14.1) < Arkansas
Johnson joins Cam Cook and Trey Sanders in the Frogs backfield. He will likely slide in as a part of a committee, however, there is a chance he becomes the primary/lead back if things fall his way this summer. At least, he is No. 2 in that room.

Wisconsin: DT Brandon Lane (11.9) < Stephen F. Austin (flipped from Louisville)

Indiana: DT Andrew Depaepe (11.7) < Michigan State

Syracuse: RB Will Nixon (10.9) < Washington

UTSA: QB Dematrius Davis (10.4) < Alabama State (via Auburn)

New Mexico State: QB Santino Marucci (10.4) < Wake Forest

UTSA: RB Frankie Arthur (10.3) < UCF

Liberty: OL Jordan Hall (9.3) < Monmouth

Nevada: RB Deston Hawkins (8.8) < Syracuse

Georgia State: DT Sir Mells (8.2) < Utah State / Oregon

Indiana: S/LB Ebon Person (6.3) < Valparaiso

New Mexico State: EDGE Derek Burns (6.2) < Troy (flipped from North Texas commitment)

Western Kentucky: RB George Hart III (5.6) < Arizona State
